For those in need of meals for their children; here is information offered from KPS. Please read the details as not all KPS schools will be pick-up locations.
Food will be distributed at 20 schools and four community sites from March 16 through April 3. Seven days worth of breakfasts and lunches will be distributed to students over three days each week in a “grab and go” format, where students will pick up food to eat at home.
Students will receive two days of meals on Mondays and Wednesdays, and three days of meals on Fridays. Food distribution points will be near a parked school bus at school sites and at a KPS food service van at other locations.
The meals are free to all children 18 years of age and younger and to persons up to age 26, who are enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled that is recognized by a state or local public education agency. No application or proof of income is required.
